More hair growth on my body what could be causing this?

i'm a girl between 18 and 25 yrs old and i am experiencing in these last few years hair growth in places where i never used to have hair, and it seems to be happening more rapidly, like on certain parts of my arms hands and my stomach and face, i'm becoming a freakin gorilla. should i see a doctor, could this be from not getting enough nutrients?More hair growth on my body what could be causing this?
It's most commonly hormone related. Talk to your gynecologist, and she can test your hormone levels.More hair growth on my body what could be causing this?
it's probably hormonal. it could also be related to weight gain.

you could talk to your doctor and see if anything is outta whack. otherwise... find a good waxing salon. =/

  • Does shaving/trimming more frequently result in more hair growth / darkening of hair?

If you shave more often, will your facial hair begin to grow in thicker or darker than if you didn't shave as often? And does the same count for if you buzz it rather than shave it? (like with a buzzer normally used for the hair on your head, lol. i use that in order to keep the ';scruffy'; look.) Keep in mind that I'm an 18 year old, so I assume it might be different for someone in the process of gettting more facial hair than for someone who is older.Does shaving/trimming more frequently result in more hair growth / darkening of hair?
No, I think it's the opposite...Does shaving/trimming more frequently result in more hair growth / darkening of hair?
    nope
    No it's a myth.

hello all i know that if u shaved the hair will get stronger %26amp; thicker.
its got to do with testosterons...not on excessive shaving etc...
NO! Hair is dead tissue. Only the follicle under the skin is alive. Cutting off dead tissue has no impact on the hair follicle, any more than if you massaged your skin, which in fact would obviously stimulate your hair follicles more than a razor cutting off the dead stuff. You seem to get thicker hair, because it is still developing and growing in.
With the exception of the roots, hair is made entirely out of dead cells. Seeing as when you shave the shaver doesn't make any contact with the roots of the hair, the hairs have no way of knowing that they have been cut and hence couldn't possibly adapt.

Has anyone tried Nioxin for hair regrowth or know what works for stimulating more hair growth?

I've heard Nioxin is good? but am tempted to try Bosley hair restoration, if anyone's tried that, as well, just losing a few more strands than usual and am getting paranoid. Pls help:)Has anyone tried Nioxin for hair regrowth or know what works for stimulating more hair growth?
My son uses Nioxin (extra strength) I also have a 72 year old client who uses reg strength. They both believe in it. The female has had more success than my son. She is more faithful about using it as directed. She just started the vitamins as well, She has been using the Shampoo, Cond, and leave in treatment for over a year. Her hair has filled in and is not falling out!

What type of food increases male hormones?why some people is having more hair growth and some less?

Is it only food that is cause for hair growth or anything else also? What type of food increases male hormones?why some people is having more hair growth and some less?
sex appetite can be probably can be improved by

regular exercise like yoga, honey, onion, urad dal ... it is a kind of lentil or pulse ,food , reduction in stress will increase libido

hair is related to genes and certain hormonal imbalances like thyroidWhat type of food increases male hormones?why some people is having more hair growth and some less?
It has nothing to do with food. Except maybe in a very generalized way, like if you are malnourished you're not going to grow properly.

But there's no special food that gives you body hair. Hair pattern is determined by your genetic makeup, it cannot be changed.
Foods do not affect sex hormones. There are synthetic testosterone supplements but since they're anabolic steroids they do a lot of long-term harm if used for recreational purposes. Amount of hair is genetic.
Hair growth is genetic and dictated by hormone levels, not food.

There is however a lot of evidence to suggest that regular eating of soya products can help slow down male hair loss.
    depends on one's hormones.

if you have too less or too many go for a medical checkup there might be an imbalance

Does bleaching your body hair trigger more hair growth?

I have bleached the hairs on my arm and I'm worried that this may have triggered more hair growth.. Is this possible?Does bleaching your body hair trigger more hair growth?
Thats nasty, just shave it off Furball!!!Does bleaching your body hair trigger more hair growth?
    No it doesn't.

What you are seeing is unbleached growth. It shows up easily through the bleached hair and looks as though you are getting more hairy.

This sort of thing happens because hair grows much faster than most people think. That's why ';peroxide blonds'; always seem to have dark roots. The darker hair grows enough to show in days.

Don't muck about with bleaches or other strong chemicals. They won't do your skin any good in the long term (take a close-up look at the wrinkles on elderly ';Beautiful people'; to see what happens after decades of sun and ';beauty'; chemicals).

If you're rich enough to afford regular professional treatments, like film stars get, that would be safer and better.

If you are worried about dark hair on your arms just wax it off or use a depilatory cream. The new hair will grow back as stubble and won't be so obvious because it'll all be the same colour.
No it doesn't, it just makes it look like your hair is growing more quickly because the roots will be much darker than the bleached hair, if your hair wasn't bleached you wouldn't notice it. If it bothers you a lot I'd suggest you try waxing or sugaring at it removes the hair from the root and takes about 4 weeks to grow back, if you wax/sugar regularly you'll find that your hair grows back thinner and more sparsely which will make it look like you have less hair anyway so it won't be as noticable
I've bleached my arm hair for around 5 years and can say absolutely not. Hair growth is the exactly the same, you do get so used to your arms looking better though so if you leave it ages between bleachings it feels like they look hideous. Your arms will look great in summer too with a light tan but remember to not sunbathe etc for 24 hours after bleaching.
No. Most bodily hair (minus the hair on your head but occasionally) will only grow to a certain lengh anyway (eyelashes and eyebrows definitely) so bleaching it should be okay until the bleach wears off.
    100% impossible.
    No. It doesn't.
    No.

    Okay, more hair growth questions!

alright, heres a decent picture of my hair type.

    http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l97/wingopina/batmannnn.jpg

its pretty curly, and light thin brown. this is my hair after being finger combed from swimming.

i take biotin every day, one tablet a day, and I try my best to wash/condition it only every other day. I drink lots of herbal teas, and I eat dairy products and veggies as often as possible, and I also drink lots of water. I'm trying my best to make it healthier after terrible haircuts and some hair dye around my tips.( you can hardly see it, its a little darker than my natural color, it blends in too much)

My goal is to grow my hair down to my midsection! i want it at least two inches in a matter of months. how can I get there? hair combing techniques? home remedies? anything! How can I prevent breakage? I used the silk cap idea, and it made my hair look worse? :[

your help is appreciated.Okay, more hair growth questions!
cut an inch off the bottom to remove the split ends so they dont work their way up to your roots. use deep conditioner twice a week like ';bumble%26amp;bumble deeeep.';Okay, more hair growth questions!
Try a product called HAIR BEAUTY PLUS. it's supposed to give you 3 months worth of hair growth in a week!
    LOL I KNOW YOU
    you have hottttt hair
Well going healthy is a good start, and I heard organic foods help as well. But I have to tell you, there are periods in your life where in two months you have a growth spurt of hair, kind of like the stages where a child also has growth spurt. I.e. one year you might have 24inches of growth in you hair, since on average hair grows about 2inches per month, or in a year you might get significantly less or more, it depends on how your individual body works and what course it takes. Plus, your hair looks healthy and I hope you get your goal of hair growth, even though the diets people take aren't exactly scientifically proven heh.
Step1 Dispel the notion that growing your hair out means never cutting it. You will still want to have your hair trimmed to keep it healthy and give it some shape. Spacing out your trims to once every two months or so is a good start.

Step2 Decide on the style you eventually want. Let your stylist know what length or style you’re working towards. This way she can trim your hair in a way that can help you reach your goal as quickly as possible.

Step3 Maintain a healthy lifestyle. Although your hair is dead once it grows out of your scalp, the root is a living part of your body. To ensure maximum growth, take care of yourself by eating right, exercising, and getting enough sleep.

Step4 Grow out all or most of your layers. Have the bottom of your hair cut while allowing the layers to “catch up.” This a great step towards longer hair. Try aiming for a blunt bob-type hairstyle first. It’s an easy first goal to achieve and will give your hair a style while it's growing out.

Step5 Buy a good shampoo and conditioner for your hair. Since you won’t be cutting your hair as often, you’ll want to make sure you take very good care of it to avoid dryness and damage. If your hair gets dry, it may begin to split, which will rob you of the length you’ve been working so hard to obtain.

Step6 Experiment with different looks. Your hair is going to go through many different lengths and styling possibilities on its road to your ultimate hair goal so go with it. Invest in hair accessories such as headbands to keep unruly bangs or side layers at bay and funky clips to add style to layers as they grow out.

Be careful about overdoing it with heated styling tools. Too much blow drying or use of flat irons or curling irons can damage hair, causing you to have to cut off more than the small trim you'd normally need.

A great color can be a super addition to your ever-changing looks, but be careful not to over do it. Too much coloring can severly damage your hair so opt for just getting your roots touched up or using a semi-permanent color for complete color changes.

Lack of proteins and vitamin B6 always aggravates hair fall. Plus the deodorant you use should be free of chemicals because many deodorants contain led and other chemicals which close the pores and the body is not able to get rid of toxins and these toxins in the system create acidity and weaken hair follicles.

Home remedy can be oiling one hour before shampoo and 15 minutes before shampoo use egg yolk and 2 table spoons of yoghurt mixed together. Apply on your scalp as one would apply hair dye plus

  • Can waxing lead to more hair growth?

    no

hair looks darker as it has not seen the sun and looks thicker as it is blunt

but not more :)Can waxing lead to more hair growth?
Nope. It actually slows down the hair growth, because you damage the hair follicules. Can waxing lead to more hair growth?
NO! You only have so many hair follicles, and you don't get more. The thing is, after any hair removal, it will seem like your hair is coming back darker or thicker because you are more aware of it.

Over time, waxing will actually reduce hair growth as follicles quit producing hair.
