Does shaving/trimming more frequently result in more hair growth / darkening of hair?

If you shave more often, will your facial hair begin to grow in thicker or darker than if you didn't shave as often? And does the same count for if you buzz it rather than shave it? (like with a buzzer normally used for the hair on your head, lol. i use that in order to keep the ';scruffy'; look.) Keep in mind that I'm an 18 year old, so I assume it might be different for someone in the process of gettting more facial hair than for someone who is older.Does shaving/trimming more frequently result in more hair growth / darkening of hair?

hello all i know that if u shaved the hair will get stronger %26amp; thicker.
its got to do with testosterons...not on excessive shaving etc...
NO! Hair is dead tissue. Only the follicle under the skin is alive. Cutting off dead tissue has no impact on the hair follicle, any more than if you massaged your skin, which in fact would obviously stimulate your hair follicles more than a razor cutting off the dead stuff. You seem to get thicker hair, because it is still developing and growing in.
With the exception of the roots, hair is made entirely out of dead cells. Seeing as when you shave the shaver doesn't make any contact with the roots of the hair, the hairs have no way of knowing that they have been cut and hence couldn't possibly adapt.
